The American Board of Professional Psychology (ABPP) serves the public through the examination and certification of psychologists engaged in the practice of 17 recognized specialties. Since the American Psychological Association designated clinical psychopharmacology (prescribing psychology; RxP) as a specialty in 2020, Division 55 (Society for Prescribing Psychology) has moved toward establishing specialty board certification in clinical psychopharmacology through ABPP.

This session will discuss the process of applying to the ABPP Board of Trustees and will review progress of the application to date. Proposed education, training, and practice guidelines will be shared. Details of the application process and interest survey conducted by Division 55 will also be shared. Finally, a frequently asked questions (FAQ) section will end this presentation.
