TCSPP Alumni Speaker Series: Engaging Remote Employees and Educators During Different Phases of the Pandemic

This program, when attended in its entirety, offers 1.0 CEs for Psychologists, 1.0 Illinois State CEUs for Counselors and Social workers, or 1.0 BBS California CEUs for LPCCs, LPSW, and LMFTs

This skill-based training is developed to help manager, supervisor, educators, and leaders best understand how to increase self-awareness and motivation at work during different phases of the pandemic. The pandemic created this level of uncertainty and fear that filtered through the culture of organizations. Through experiential learning activities and guided questions, the facilitators will help participants explore their self, social, and systems around them. From the guided questions participants will complete a grid activity and think about strengths and opportunities, as well as identify their work triggers, threats, and identify one’s weaknesses that create the feeling of being stuck. From that activity, they will build a new work intention, purpose statements, and talk about the elements that are within their control.

Co-presented by TCSPP Alumni Dr. Sabrina Wood and Dr. Kortney Peagram:

Dr. Wood is a graduate from the MA Forensic Psychology and PhD Business Psychology programs. She has published and presented on mental health in popular culture . She has also presented at the Joubert Syndrome and Related Disorders Conference. Dr. Wood is also an adjunct in the Masters in Counseling Psychology. Her primary research interests are work-life conflict, attachment theory, and maternal stress.

Dr. Peagram is a keynote speaker and creates an interactive experience while she is on a virtual stage. She has presented on leadership, diversity, bullying, and career trajectory. Dr. Peagram has been featured on CBS, PBS, NPR, and Fox News as an expert on bullying and emotional management. She has presented in Ireland 2019 and Sweden 2017 at the World Anti-Bullying Forum on her work with experiential learning to engage participants in learning new habits and skills.
