This program, when attended in its entirety, offers 1.0 CEs for Psychologists, 1.0 BBS California CEUs for LPCCs, LPSW, and LMFTs, 1.0 Illinois CEUs for Counselors and Social Workers, and 1.0 PDCs for Human Resource Professionals.

Workshop Description:

This is a proposed two-part series for health care professionals to learn to market their practice successfully and ethically.

This second session will focus on the use of social media to promote and market health care businesses. Types of marketing and advertising will be discussed along with the positives and negatives of using social media. This session will continue to build on the previous session.

 

Learning Objectives:

After attending this introductory-level workshop, participants will be able to:

  1.  Utilize social media to effectively market their business.

This program meets APA’s continuing education STANDARD 1.3: Program content focuses on topics related to psychological practice, education, or research other than application of psychological assessment and/or intervention methods that are supported by contemporary scholarship grounded in established research procedures.

This program meets APA’s continuing education GOAL 1: Program is relevant to psychological practice, education, and/or science.

Professional Biography of Presenter Marla Royne Stafford, Ph.D., Professor of Marketing:

Dr. Marla Stafford is one of the earliest scholars in the field of service marketing and advertising. With over 30 years experience as a marketing dean and professor at various universities (including the University of Nevada, University of Memphis, and the University of North Texas), Dr. Stafford is a leading educator and contributor to the field of health care marketing. Her research activity has been published in over 100 journals, she has featured chapters in over 10 books, and has co-authored 3 books. Dr. Stafford serves on and chairs multiple committees and advisory boards in the fields of advertising and marketing, has won over 50 awards for her work, has appeared as a consultant on multiple news networks and television shows, and is a successful marketing consultant.

 

CONTINUING EDUCATION:

Target Audience: All mental health disciplines. Graduate students welcome.

Psychologists. This program, when attended in its entirety, is available for 1.0 continuing education credits. Human Resource Professionals: This program, when attended in its entirety, is available for 1.0 hours of professional development credits.

Participation Certificate. The Chicago School of Professional Psychology is able to provide students and other participants who simply wish to have documentation of their attendance at the program a participation certificate.

Non Psychologists. Most licensing boards accept Continuing Education Credits sponsored by the American Psychological Association, but non-psychologists are recommended to consult with their specific state-licensing board to ensure that APA-sponsored CE is acceptable.

 

*Participants must attend 100% of the program in order to obtain a Certificate of Attendance.
