Title IX: Supporting Site Supervisors in Working with TCSPP Trainees

This training is open to TCSPP Site Supervisors. This live program offers 1.0 APA CEs for Psychologists and 1.0 BBS California CEUs for or LPCCs, LPSW, and LMFTs
This workshop aims to educate TCSPP Site Supervisors around Title IX and its relationship to student training. Though Title IX is a policy that is mainly focused on the TCSPP campus activities and not a policy for off-campus sites, it can affect a student’s training experience. Site supervisors will be provided with information on TCSPP’s policy, how Title IX may inform training site practices related to working with trainees, and best practices regarding supporting students facing Title IX issues while maintaining an appropriate educational environment.
The workshop will help site supervisors develop competencies on an aspect of psychology education that can have a significant effect on student trainees. This area of education is one that students often do not feel comfortable addressing with their sites, and this workshop aims to help sites develop strategies to develop a supervisory relationship where students can be assisted effectively.
