Workshop Description:

This presentation will provide training on accurate credentialing and payer enrollment for mental health professionals. The presenter will provide comprehensive review of insurance enrollments and it’s impact on your revenue cycle.

During the workshop, attendees will learn how to assess and complete various insurance network applications and their products. Providers will be given instruction on how to create an efficient credentialing/enrollment process. Attendees will understand CAQH, NPPES, I&A, and Medicare portals.

Learning Objectives:

After attending this introductory-level workshop, participants will be able to:

1.Describe the importance of managing your CAQH, NPPES & PECOS Accounts

2. Identify best practices for efficient and successful credentialing/enrollment

3. Define fundamental processes of enrollment and its effect on your revenue cycle

Yesenia Servin, CPMSM, PESC

Healthcare Business Consultant, YS Credentialing Provider Enrollment Lead, Loyola University Medical Center

Yesenia Servin is a nationally certified credentialing specialist and healthcare management consultant. Yesenia is the payer enrollment lead with Loyola University Health System in Maywood, IL. There, she manages payer enrollment, briefs payer enrollment team members on industry trends, and is the liaison for the multitude of departments impacting payer enrollment processes. She also maintains her own consultancy, where she helps organizations develop and implement best practices guidelines and processes; analyzes a variety of commercial, private, and governmental claim filings; and manages credentialing processes for network participation agreements. With over 21 years in the healthcare industry, her experience includes Durable Medical Equipment, Hospital & Health Systems, and Community Mental Health Organizations, Global Managed Care organization as well as providing payer enrollment and credentialing consulting services to various healthcare providers and organizations. Yesenia is a current NAMSS member, and is a past NAMSS Educational Conference Guest Speaker, Team Med Global Collaborator, webinar presenter, past and current trainer for The Chicago School of Professional and industry trainer. She studied Microeconomics and Communications at NEIU and is currently studying Healthcare Administration at Concordia University Chicago.

Yesenia enjoys spending time with her family and pugs. She finds great joy in jumping in the mini-van for a family road-trip.

This program meets APA’s continuing education Standard 1.2: Program content focuses on ethical, legal, statutory or regulatory policies, guidelines, and standards that impact psychological practice, education, or research.

This program meets APA’s continuing education Goal 2: Program will enable psychologists to keep pace with the most current scientific evidence regarding assessment, prevention, intervention, and/or education, as well as important relevant legal, statutory, leadership, or regulatory issues.

Target Audience: Healthcare and Mental healthcare professionals, University faculty and students, and the TCSPP community.

Psychologists: This program, when attended in its entirety, is available for 1.5 continuing education credits. MFTs, LPCCs, and LCSWs: Course meets the qualifications for 1.5 hour of continuing education credit for MFTs, LPCCs, and/or LCSWs as required by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences. If you are licensed outside of California please check with your local licensing agency to to determine if they will accept these CEUs. The Chicago School of Professional Psychology is approved by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) to offer continuing education programming for MFTs, LPCCs, LEPs, and/or LCSWs. The Chicago School of Professional Psychology is an accredited or approved postsecondary institution that meets the requirements set forth in Sections 4980.54(f)(1), 4989.34, 4996.22(d)(1), or 4999.76(d) of the Code.

Participation Certificate: The Chicago School of Professional Psychology is able to provide students and other participants who simply wish to have documentation of their attendance at the program a participation certificate.

Non Psychologists. Most licensing boards accept Continuing Education Credits sponsored by the American Psychological Association but non-psychologists are recommended to consult with their specific state-licensing board to ensure that APA-sponsored CE is acceptable.

*Participants must attend 100% of the program in order to obtain a Certificate of Attendance.
