Behavior Analysis and the LGBTQ+ Community

Topics effecting LGBTQ+ people will be discussed through the lens of behavior analysis. This presentation will discuss the problematic history of behavior analysis and the LGBTQ+ community, and where we are now as a field. We will explore the role of clinicians, recent interest in controversial literature, studies linking autism and LGBTQ+, the new ethics code and changing societal views.

 

This live course, when attended in full, offers 1.0 CEs for Psychologists, 1.0 BBS California CEUs for Licensed Counselors, Social Workers or Marriage and Family Therapists, or 1.0 ACE BCBA CEUs.

 

Presented by: Sarah Campau

Sarah Campau is a behavior analyst and alumna of The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. She is currently pursuing her PhD as a Leaders for Transition Fellow at the University of Arkansas. She specializes in working with adults with significant behavioral challenges. Sarah’s research interests include specialized sex education and LGBTQ+ advocacy for persons with disabilities.
