Introduction to Design Thinking

The Centre for Executive Education at the University for Peace (UPEACE), established by the General Assembly of the United Nations, is excited to present Global Citizenship Education, a professional development workshop series for educators that begins July 8^th.

This highly interactive course will bring together actors in the education sector from around the world that are interested in revamping and globalizing their curriculum. You’ll form real connections with others facing similar challenges in different contexts, as you work on a concrete plan to bring global citizenship values into your classroom.

Sessions (which can be attended individually or as a whole to receive a certificate from UPEACE), include:

1. Introduction to Global Citizenship Education Pedagogy (3 hours) – Thursday, July 8^th @ 3pm-6pm EST
2. Introduction to Design Thinking (3 hours) – Thursday, July 15^th @ 3pm-6pm EST
3. Cultivating Empathy & Cultural Humility in the Classroom (2 hours)– Thursday, July 22^th @ 3pm-5pm EST
4. Soft & Critical Global Citizenship Skills (2 hours) – Thursday, July 29^rd @ 3pm-5pm EST

Through this program, you can up to 10 continuing education credits (see the website for more details).
