Cyclic Trauma’s Effect on Current Minority Populations

Today’s racial upheaval has stirred up recurrent emotional waves of rage and sadness with the never-ending stories of police brutality witnessed on social media. The current presentation will take a closer look at the correlation between past prejudicial trauma and its psychological effect on present minority populations. To specify, we ask the question of: How does intergenerational trauma continue to effect mental health and well-being of present minorities (e.g. African Americans, Latinx)?
