The Behavioral Impact of Race as a Construct
Presented By : Denisha Gingles MS, BCBA, LBA

This presentation will use Relational Frame Theory andlanguage to discuss how the construct of race impacts individual behaviors and systems of power. I will alsodiscuss avowed values of diversity and equity in our field and provide recommendations for how practitioners can uphold and advance our mission of helping others by acknowledging the impact of race on our work. We will begin exploring Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to foster cultural awareness and committed action in behavior analysts.
