Description: A public health crisis in the USA, adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) contribute to harmful health outcomes. ACEs adversely affect one’s mental health leading to social disadvantage and generational cycles of ACEs. I propose an inquiry as to whether treating ACEs can reduce adult mental illness and crime rates in the USA. Advocating to implement resiliency of ACEs through legislature will force politicians to explore the effects of ACEs on their constituents, and pass legislature focused on the treatment of ACEs.
