Description: Expressive arts and play therapy techniques and interventions can be effective when working with first responders who have experienced issues related to the pandemic, specifically COVID-19. This program will discuss the issues faced by first responders due to the pandemic and how the use of a different modality can be effective to process some of the experienced trauma. Participants will identify expressive arts and play therapy techniques specific to the issues faced by first responders and the pandemic.
Learning Objectives:
Participants will identify the issues relevant to first responders that expressive arts and play therapy techniques and interventions can be effective.
Participants will apply specific expressive arts and play therapy techniques and interventions for this population to assist with issues related to the pandemic.
Participants will integrate their conceptualization of first responders and issues related to the pandemic, with expressive arts and play therapy techniques and interventions.
