Description: This presentation will explore how counselors can create therapeutic group spaces through hip hop therapy to enhance an empowered sense of self among Black Transgender girls, especially as they navigate oppressive environments.
Learning Objectives:
This program will explore the benefits of hip-hop feminist therapy in working with Black Transgender Girls. This program will address strategies on how to utilize hip hop therapy with Black Transgender Girls in group counseling settings. This program will encourage counselors to explore how they can create and maintain therapeutic spaces for Black Transgender Girls.
