Zoom Information:

Description: Counseling AA women requires a culturally sensitive lens, a person-centered approach, and spirituality integration. It is common to be uncomfortable with this population due to a lack of training and personal biases. Participants will learn about sources of issues experienced by AA women, identify personal biases, microaggressions, and assumptions. Participants will explore person-centered approaches, role play interventions and learn new techniques. This presentation is designed for students and counselor educators
