Description: This presentation will focus on the psychological impacts of the Covid 19 pandemic and the disparity in the experiences of individuals in the United States compared with Uganda. It will also discuss why Uganda represents an important population for study due to its refugee population, current economic and political realities, and its physical placement within Africa. It will conclude with a discussion regarding the need for advocacy for improved access to mental health resources.
